Dave Schroeder is a commercial composer, sound designer, and recording engineer (and mild computer geek). His portfolio includes national television and radio programming, award-winning short films and documentaries, and loads of interactive media. He has experience with recording and producing multiple forms of music, voiceovers, and sound effects. Dave grew up experimenting with an 8-track tape recorder in his parents' basement, then went on to attend school for audio engineering. While he was at school, the first computer-based recording systems began to appear. He was hooked, and began to get jobs in the industry, working in pro audio equipment sales and as a writer/engineer for a commercial music company. In 2000, he started his own company, Pilotvibe, which specializes in music and sound design for multimedia developers.
Dave has shown his work at several film festivals, including RESFEST and Slamdance. His multimedia projects have been exhibited at numerous art centers and galleries, including Art Miami, The Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art, The Soap Factory in Minneapolis, and Gallery Priestor in Slovakia. He has contributed to interactive projects that have won awards at SXSW, AIGA Exhibit A, PDN, and Communication Arts. |
